The Vandy Vape Kylin series of rebuildable tank atomizers have long been one of the best on the market. The Vandy Vape Kylin M Pro RTA is the latest mesh version of the very popular Kylin RTA. The Vandy Vape Kylin M Pro RTA features a similar appearance to its predecessor, namely, Vandy Vape Kylin M RTA. But it uses a dedicated mesh build deck. It even features a spring-loaded ceramic block for lifting cotton sag.

It is a mesh-based 24.2 mm rebuildable tank. The airflow comes from the twenty top-fed honeycomb air holes for a high level of airflow adjustment and leaf resistance. It is top fill and comes with two tank sections that can hold 8ml of e-liquid. The Vandy Vape Kylin M Pro RTA is the top airflow RTA that’s usually lackluster for flavor but produces impressive vapor.

The design of the Vandy Vape Kylin M Pro RTA is very similar to the previous Kylin tanks. There are the ridges along with the top cap and the bottom, which are a signature design of the Kylin line. The overall Kylin M Pro tank is clean-cut and well machined. It measures 24.2mm in base diameter and 27.22mm at its widest point, which will fit on most mods without overhang. You will receive a Kylin M Pro RTA, 2 Vape Cotton Laces, an Accessory Bag, a Pyrex Glass Tube, an Instruction Manual, two A1 M Coils 0.2ohm, and two A1 M Coils 0.15ohm.

The Vandy Vape Kylin M Pro RTA has a wide drip tip with classic black color. It is a nice-sized bore and feels good on your lips. Your other Goon-compatible drip tips will also fit the Kylin M Pro. but they might leave a little gap at the base due to the short connection of the Kylin M Pro.

The top cap is a threaded design, and simply unscrew it, you will see the deeply recessed fill port. It is reliable and secure that avoids accidental opening. The fill port section under the top cap is quite deep. It extends down for a few millimeters. The two large fill ports are very wide and shaped like a bowl, so you can easily fill up the tank with your favorite e-liquid.

Building

The building is simple and straightforward if you have built a mesh coil before. The Vandy Vape Kylin M Pro offers everything you need in the box: a pair of two different mesh coils, two pieces of cotton, coil rod, O-rings, two spare springs and some flat-head screws. The 0.2-ohm A2 M mesh strips - rated for 40 - 60W are wider and more spaced out with a honeycomb pattern. The 0.15-ohm A1 M mesh strips - rated for 50 - 70W feature more fine mesh holes.

• Loosen the screws on the build deck. Don’t loosen them much, because the mesh strip is very thin
• Bend the mesh strip by the coil rod, make it form into an even and perfectly curved semi-circle shape. Avoid bending or creasing the mesh strip
• Gently hold the mesh coil and place its ends into the clamps while tightening the screws
• Take a piece of agleted cotton, insert the cotton while pressing down on the spring-loaded center block
• Cut your wicks to a size close to the outside of the deck. Comb and fluff the cotton
• Stuff and spread your cotton into the wicking channels and tuck them in neatly

The Vandy Vape Kylin M Pro is a beautifully designed tank. It is well made and easy to build on. For flavor, the Vandy Vape Kylin M Pro RTA improves a lot compared to its predecessor the Vandy Vape Kylin M. The vapor is very muted. The 0.15-ohm fine mesh coil is better between the two. The Vandy Vape Kylin M Pro RTA allows you to remove the tank when the deck is still sitting on the mod. Although it is easier to build on, you should not take the building and wicking lightly. You should get everything right or you might encounter a lot of problems. So the Kylin M Pro RTA is not designed for a new builder. If you are an experienced builder and interested in trying the new Kylin M Pro, you should learn how to wick the mesh coil properly. Keep in mind that you should always avoid bends or sloppiness.
